Windward Software releases version 5.41!
Windward Software is very pleased to announce the release of version 5.41 of our flagship business management application, Windward System Five. In this version you will find many small enhancements and tweaks to an already bulging feature set. Enhancements to the Required Orders report as well as the Rental Module highlight these changes.

Windward Client Conference Planning
We are currently planning another Windward Software Client Conference (formerly referred to as a "User's Conference") and we thought we would ask for your opinion! Windward Self Help Launched!
There are now three different areas for new and existing Windward Clients to learn about our software. They are; the Documentation that is accessed from within the software, our new Video Training Library as well a new Wiki Website that replaces our web-based Knowledge Base.

While we have vastly increased the amount of information available to you, we also want to make it fast and convenient to access! To accomplish this, we have created the Windward On-Line Self Help repository combining all three of these information sources and giving you the ability to search in one place for the answer to your question.

All the content on the Windward Self Help site is available to all Windward clients through the month of February. After this time period, the "Premium" level information which include the Video Training Library among other things will be available to those clients that are current with their Annual Software Maintenance fees.

Windward System Five supports Microsoft Vista
The latest version of Windward System Five now supports Vista. Beware that if you upgrade one computer on your network that you will need to ensure that you also upgrade to this latest version as well as version 9.50 of the Pervasive.SQL database engine.

Windward Software announces the launch of their Video Training Library
Windward Software now offers an easy way to learn how to use Windward System Five on your own time! Our online videos will show you the steps you need to take to startup the system, including customer maintenance, main and sub categories, and inventory control. We now have hundreds of short videos availble to be seen over the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service is only available to clients that have paid their annual update fees. Windward teams with LeaseQuest to offer integrated leasing option
This option allows you to sell more product by offering low monthly payments as well as cash purchase amounts without spending any time waiting for lease quotes or having to manually calculate lease payments.

The Lease Module provides instant lease-calculations and includes these on the estimate. The lease application is automatically pre-populated and attached to estimates making the next step easier than ever - the application is virtually complete - usually only the client's signature is required.

LeaseQuest will even pay for the module for you via a 100% rebate program.

Mercury Payment Systems' Stand In Service
Did you know that Windward partner Mercury Payment Systems processing offers "Stand In" service?

As far as we know this is the only payment processor who is willing to offer this protection. If for any reason the link to your credit card / bank processor is lost, Mercury will provide you an authorization code for transactions during that time. If after the connection is re-established and it turns out that the card should have been declined, then Mercury will "stand in" and pay for the transaction in question. You don't even know that the connection was lost and can keep the lineups in your store moving.

In one recent 13 minute span Mercury processed 1.3 billion dollars worth of transactions and "stood in" for $40,000 dollars of declines for their merchants.
